Amarr Garage Doors has developed a unique partnership with JELD-WEN, the world’s leading manufacturer of reliable windows and doors. JELD-WEN will utilize Amarr’s vast distribution network to sell JELD-WEN composite wood garage doors. JELD-WEN garage doors are truly unique to the garage door market because of their wood composite construction. The exterior of the doors are made from a wood composite material that provides excellent durability even in extreme temperatures, helping to prevent splitting, shrinking, expanding, rusting, and denting. The trim boards are durable because of their advanced polymer construction that will not dent, rust, or delaminate. Each door is completed with a polystyrene insulated core for energy efficiency. Because of these elements, JELD-WEN’s wood composite garage doors offer high-quality, style, realistic woodgrain appearance, along with reliable performance and a moderate price.
“This is a significant strategic relationship. We are excited to partner with a company and brand as strong as JELD-WEN,†said Patrick O’Sullivan, Amarr’s Vice President of New Products. “We are equally excited to have the opportunity to make these unique garage doors available to our dealers. With innovative construction and beautiful styles, the JELD-WEN garage doors should be popular with both builders and homeowners for many years.†“These doors are primarily made from recycled wood cellulose so the product looks and feels like wood, but the resin component creates a product that does not act like wood, †O’Sullivan added.
All three of JELD-WEN’s, Traditional, Carriage House, and Estate garage door lines will be available through Amarr’s Door Centers. Several markets in New England and Southern California will not be a part of the initial product rollout. Dealers should contact their local Amarr Door Center for pricing and ordering details. The Traditional series is perfect for residences that want the classic raised-panel style with numerous window options. JELD-WEN’s Carriage House series, as well as the Estate series, have proven to be overwhelmingly popular with today’s homeowners, thanks to authentic Old World details and accents. These doors are beautifully deceptive, replicating traditional, swinging barn door styles, but opening overhead like any other modern garage door. Optional decorative hardware is available for both series and several window options are available for the Carriage House models.
“The JELD-WEN garage doors provide options for dealers when a homeowner is looking for an upscale garage door, but are worried about the cost of a traditional wood carriage house door,†O’Sullivan said. “We feel these models fit perfectly into our already existing product line and should provide both companies with long term growth in the category.â€
